Jeff Beck, known as one of the most admired and influential guitarists in rock history, died on Tuesday January 10th, 2023. He was 78 years old.
One of the early members of the band the Yardbirds, a band known for always having great guitarists, he replaced Eric Clapton. He himself was later replaced by Jimmy Page. When he left the Yardbirds he formed the Jeff Beck Band with fellow musicians Rod Stewart and Ron Wood. He also for a short time was a member of the superband “Beck Bogert Appice” with Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice both former members of Vanilla Fudge

My heart is still broken – the news of Jeff Beck leaving the planet has filled me with sadness. I was lucky enough to see him perform with Bogert and Appice. Great musician, great showman. He is sorely missed.
