Gary joined the Radio Free Phoenix/Deep Oldies airstaff in 2009 after doing a Guest DJ spot on RFP. He was fulfilling a lifelong dream of wanting to be a DJ. With the encouragement of Liz Boyle and Angela Allen (and some bribery of Andy Olson) he started with a 2 hour weekend spot on RFP. As he became more and more seasoned and comfortable he eventually took over the morning spot from 5am to 8am after Angela Allen left to pursue an opportunity in the mid-west. Gary originally joined the Deep Oldies airstaff in 2011 taking over for the ever unreliable Jimmy HotRod Phord. In 2018 he retired from his high-tech career and took some time off from radio to travel and pursue some other interests. Gary came back to Deep Oldies in 2021 after a 3 year hiatus. He can be heard on Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm Arizona Mountain Time.
